#SayHerName: An evening of community healing for Black Womxn and Girls
October 2, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pmFree
Welcome to an evening of community healing for Black womxn and girls co-hosted by Black Girls Brilliance (USA & South Africa) and The Black Council (Oakland, CA). During this evening we will use artistic forms of expression to honor the Black Womxn and Girls who have lost their lives to the police state (Breonna Taylor, USA), gender-based violence(Amahle Quku, South Africa), and other forms of violence that continue to threaten our lives.
Globally, Black womxn and girls continue to be inflicted with violence that leaves us feeling more invisible, harmed, and vulnerable to society as a whole. The evening intends to acknowledge how imperative it is that we fight for justice while working together to center our wellness and well-being as we practice healing collectively.
**This is a gender inclusive space**
Participants may register for 1 of the 5 sessions offered. Please only sign up for one session. We want to be sure to offer this opportunity for 100 Black womxn and girls around the world who need a sacred space to process this collective grief that we are experiencing.
