Supporting Youth: Perspectives from Survivors and Lived Experience Experts on the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children

January 14 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Did you know January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month? Join us for Supporting Youth: Survivors’ Perspectives on Housing, Harm Reduction, and Youth Engagement on Friday, January 14, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. PST.

At this informative and educational webinar, 10 survivors and lived experience experts will share their critical perspectives on barriers and solutions to housing, harm reduction, and engagement of youth impacted by commercial sexual exploitation (CSE).

Presenters will be speaking from their personal experience and professional experience supporting individuals impacted by CSE.

Caregivers, community members, law enforcement, policymakers, and services providers whose lives intersect with the youth around them are encouraged to register and can expect to leave with practical skills that will empower them to prepare to meet the needs of youth impacted by CSE.

The webinar is presented by the California CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children) Action Team’s Advisory Board, a state-funded board made up of survivors and lived experience experts who provide leadership and consultation to governmental agencies, community-based organizations and other stakeholders regarding how to improve state and local policy for children and youth who have been impacted by CSEC. The Advisory Board is convened by NCYL and WestCoast Children’s Clinic.
