Virtual STEAM Summer Camps for Girls and Boys

June 1

Scientific Adventures for Girls Delivering Hands-on STEM, Virtually!

As we are sure you’ve heard (or said) before, it has been an “uncertain” year. We at Scientific Adventures for Girls (SAfG) stay certain of one very important thing: Our students are incredible. Despite their school year looking unlike any in history, the girls have kept a positive, hopeful attitude about meeting virtually and they have seized every opportunity to learn. We couldn’t be more impressed!

Zoom fatigue is very real, which is why we have emphasized hands-on activities every week in our virtual classrooms. Our students have used the SAfG classroom space as a place to connect with each other, solve problems together, and have creative, educational fun during a very challenging time. Class is so much fun that we often have a hard time saying goodbye at the end of our Zooms!

Since the beginning of this school year, we have taught virtual classes in Creative Engineering and Coding at 16 schools in the East Bay. We are looking forward to beginning the final spring session of the school year, Robotics Unplugged. We expect that our students will continue to amaze us and give us hope about the next generation of scientists, engineers, and creative thinkers. We remain so grateful for the opportunity to foster a love of STEM subjects in our awesome K-6th grade students.

We are continuing the fun this summer – if you know of a girl or boy interested, SAfG just opened registration for its STEAM Summer Camps series.  You can register here.  Please join us for fun, hands-on STEM this June!

If you would like to learn more about our programs, please email Courtenay Carr Heuer at ccarr@scientificsdventures.org.
