OUR WORKIS ROOTED in the belief that we can build a better world for girls and their communities
by centering the voices, narratives, and solutions of girls and gender-expansive youth, especially girls and gender-expansive youth of color, and the organizations that serve them.
RESEARCH
Leaders and policymakers need good data to do good work. We work with youth as researchers to provide girl-centered data that highlight girls’ experiences and narratives, especially those of girls of color, while equipping leaders, service providers, and policymakers with the information they need to better serve girls.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
We support girl-serving organizations and girls’ champions through our membership network, ongoing learning, speaking opportunities, and events to meet their missions and address girls’ needs.
ADVOCACY
We facilitate collective advocacy to promote girl-centered policies, budgets, and programming to create safer spaces for girls and gender-expansive youth to thrive.
Since 2012,
we have been connecting and uplifting the organizations that are building the next generation of leaders.

Intersectionality is key to gender equity
We recognize that girls hold multiple and often interacting identities, and that Black and Brown girls are some of the most vulnerable, experiencing barriers and oppression in unique ways.
Those closest to the problem are closest to the solution
Girls are the experts of their own lives and they know what they need to thrive. Every single action we undertake is done in collaboration with girls and the organizations that support them.
We need to move beyond the gender binary
The binary doesn’t serve anyone. When we say girls, we are referring to gender-expansive youth (cis girls, trans girls, non-binary youth, gender non-conforming youth, gender queer youth and any girl-identified youth).
We believe in the power of the collective
We believe that we are stronger together than alone and that’s why we do everything in community and partnership.
