Political Impact Survey + Virtual Panel: Our Voice, Our Power, Our Future

Last year, 133 youth-serving organizations across California shared their experiences through Alliance for Girls' (AFG) Political Impact Project. You told us that 91% were facing funding impacts and 83% were dealing with policy restrictions. This collective testimony helped us understand the true scope of what girls, gender-expansive youth, and the organizations that serve them face—and it proved we're not alone in these struggles.

One year later, we need to understand how things have shifted. What's gotten worse? What strategies are working? What do you need now?

Your participation will help us:

  • Track changes from 2025 to 2026

  • Make the case to funders and decisionmakers about the needs of girls and gender-expansive youth, particularly those of color, and youth-serving organizations

  • Share strategies and resources among organizations

  • Build solidarity through shared data and collective care

Three ways you can participate:

1️⃣ TAKE AND SHARE THE SURVEY

AFG wants to hear from organizations and service providers that support girls and gender-expansive youth in California. This 15-minute survey tracks critical changes since February 2025: funding impacts, safety concerns, staff wellbeing, impacts of immigration policies, youth engagement, and what strategies are working. Your participation drives meaningful change, allowing us to advocate for what organizations need with funders and policymakers.

TAKE THE POLITICAL IMPACT SURVEY

By filling out the survey, you'll have the opportunity to opt into a raffle for the chance to win 1 of 20 gift cards with a value of $100 each. The surveys close on February 6th, so don’t wait!

2️⃣ JOIN US ON MARCH 25TH, 2026 @ 10AM PT

Join our Virtual Political Impact Panel for girls and gender-expansive youth, organizations that serve them, families, educators, funders, community members, and more. Hear from experts and ask questions about key issues like trans youth, reproductive rights, immigration, DEI, and Title IX. We’ll share what we’ve learned, provide resources, and discuss how we move forward together.

3️⃣ SHARE THIS WIDELY

Forward these opportunities to:

  • Organizations serving girls and gender-expansive youth in California

  • Board members and funders who support youth-serving organizations and need to see this data

  • Coalition partners working on related issues

The more voices we gather, the greater our collective impact.
