Webinar: Political Impact on Reproductive Health & Gender-Affirming Care

Join Alliance for Girls (AFG) for a timely and important discussion on how the current political environment and funding landscape is impacting organizations serving girls and gender-expansive youth in California, particularly those providing reproductive health services and gender-affirming care.

In May, AFG released our 2026 Political Impact Report, From Anticipation to Reality, documenting a growing crisis that arrived faster and hit harder than organizations planned for—and one that is not random. Of the $113 million in documented funding losses for the organizations we spoke with, $100 million was reported by organizations focused on health care, reproductive health, and gender-affirming care – the clearest evidence of targeted defunding in the sector. In July, we released a companion report, Targeted by Design, that dives deeper into the stories of these courageous organizations and the young people they serve.

This virtual event will be an opportunity for us to talk about the case study, share what we've learned from providers of reproductive health and gender-affirming care in California, and discuss reommendations for the way forward.
